TL;DR: When transitioning to a FundedNext Live Account, traders are classified as Professional Traders, and professional market data fees apply. These data fees are set by the exchanges and must be subscribed to monthly directly through the Tradovate dashboard. Traders are advised to subscribe only to the exchange relevant to the instruments they trade (such as CME, COMEX, or NYMEX) to avoid unnecessary costs and keep data fees efficient.
When you transition to a FundedNext Live Account, you are classified as a Professional Trader. As a result, professional market data fees will apply.
How Data Fees Work
These fees are set by the exchanges and must be subscribed to on a monthly basis directly from your Tradovate dashboard. You can review current pricing here: NinjaTrader Data Fees.
We suggest subscribing only to the exchange that matches the instruments you usually trade, as this will help you avoid paying for unnecessary data and keep your costs efficient.
For example, if you trade Nasdaq (NQ) and S&P (ES), it is better to subscribe only to the CME Exchange since the rest are not required for your trading. Similarly, if you trade commodities such as Gold (GC), you should subscribe to COMEX, while for Crude Oil (CL), you should subscribe to NYMEX.
