Road to Live Trading - Rapid Challenge and Flex Challenge

TLDR: Earn 15 Performance Rewards to enter the live review pool. If selected, up to 5 funded accounts transition to live. If you breach, you'll enter a 2-week cooldown before returning to sim — and every 5 Performance Rewards after that puts you back in the live review pool.

1. Live Trading Eligibility Criteria

FundedNext's risk team continuously monitors each trader's performance to determine when they're ready for live trading.

  • Earn 15 Performance Rewards during your FundedNext journey to enter the live review pool.

  • Traders returning from a previous live journey re-enter the review pool after every 5 Performance Rewards — since going live once already proves the trader's strategy.

Meeting the threshold does not guarantee a transition. The FundedNext risk team evaluates each trader's full performance history, and only traders who demonstrate consistent, responsible trading behaviour will be moved to live. If you're not selected, your accounts continue as normal.

Note: Transitions only happen at the end of an active payout cycle — never mid-cycle.

Example: If a trader is selected during the 3rd cycle, the transition will occur after the trader requests their 3rd payout from that cycle.

2. Transition Process

Challenge Accounts

  • All active Challenge Accounts are permanently closed at the time of transition

  • These accounts are not eligible for any refunds

Note: Traders who prefer to preserve their Challenge Accounts should keep this in mind before stacking multiple Challenge Accounts

FundedNext Accounts

  • FundedNext Accounts with at least 1 successful withdrawal will be transitioned to a live account

  • FundedNext Accounts with 0 payouts will be closed, and the funded account’s cost will be refunded within 24 hours once the live transition is completed.

3. Live Account Parameters

Traders receive one live account per eligible funded account transitioning, up to a maximum of 5 live accounts.

Withdrawal Benefits:

  1. Daily withdrawal option

  2. Minimum withdrawal request: $100

  3. 100% profit split on the first $5,000 in cumulative withdrawals, then 90/10 thereafter.

4. Contract Limits

Traders who lock their MLL demonstrate they have grown their account to match their initial deposit, a mark of consistent and responsible trading. As a reward for reaching this milestone, contract limits double once the MLL locks, giving traders greater capacity to scale their live trading.

5. Trailing MLL Explained

The Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) on your live account is trailing. It moves up as your account grows, but never moves down.

The MLL locks in any of two situations:

  • When you request a payout;

  • When your profit equals your initial MLL amount

Once locked, the MLL floor is fixed. If your balance touches or drops below this floor, the account is auto-liquidated.

Note: If the requested withdrawal reduces the current account balance to the initial deposit amount, the account will be automatically liquidated.

Example: 50K account ($2,000 starting balance):

What Happens

$3,000

$2,000

$2,000

MLL locks at the starting balance if not already locked

Balance drops to $2,000

$2,000

$2,000

Key rule: Once the MLL locks, it will not trail further. You can never lose more than your starting MLL buffer from that point.

6. MLL Lock Benefit

Your MLL locks $1,000 below your starting balance. On a 50K live account, that means your MLL locks at $1,000, not at the $2,000 starting balance. This is the MLL Lock Benefit, and it applies automatically to every live account.

Here's the full journey on a 50K account:

You start with a $2,000 balance, and your MLL trails up from $0 as you profit. The MLL locks when your profit equals your starting balance (balance reaches $4,000) or when you request a payout, whichever comes first. At that moment, the floor is set at $1,000. Permanently. It will never trail up again, no matter how much you make above it.

From the lock onward, $1,000 is the only breach level on your account. Dropping below your $2,000 starting balance does not end your account anymore. Your account breaches only if your balance touches $1,000. Locking at $4,000 means you hold $3,000 of trading room, locked in for the life of the account.

Why we built it this way: A locked MLL means you've either doubled your loss buffer or taken a live payout. Both are proof that you can hold profits on a live account. We could hand out a one-time bonus; rather, we are providing what actually compounds: more room to keep trading, more room to scale payouts.

7. Breach and Cooldown

Traders who breach live account(s) enter a mandatory cooldown before any trading is permitted.

  • Standard cooldown: 2 weeks mandatory for all traders

  • Extended cooldown: 4 weeks or an extended period, at FundedNext's discretion, for traders who breach through reckless behaviour such as aggressive positions or breaching within a single trading session.

After completing the cooldown period, traders return to normal simulated trading, purchasing Challenge Accounts and following the standard path back to live.
