TLDR: Earn 15 Performance Rewards to enter the live review pool. If selected, up to 5 funded accounts transition to live. If you breach, you'll enter a 2-week cooldown before returning to sim — and every 5 Performance Rewards after that puts you back in the live review pool.
1. Live Trading Eligibility Criteria
FundedNext's risk team continuously reviews every trader's performance to identify who's ready for live trading.
How you enter the live review pool
New to live: 15 Performance Rewards across your FundedNext journey.
Returning from a previous live journey: Re-enter the review pool after every 5 Performance Rewards. You've already proven your strategy live, so your bar is lower.
Performance Rewards are counted across your full trading profile, whether they come from a single account or are spread across multiple accounts. Once you request your 15th Performance Reward, you'll be shortlisted for the live review pool, and your account(s) will be closed.
What happens next
Reaching the threshold places your trader profile under review. It doesn't guarantee a transition. Our risk team looks at your full performance history, and only traders who show consistent, responsible trading behaviour move to live. While the review is underway, your accounts may be temporarily placed on hold. If you're not selected, your accounts resume as normal.
If you're selected
Selection applies to your trader profile as a whole, not to individual accounts. Moving to live replaces your current funded accounts, so they are closed as part of the transition.
Transitions only take place once the payout cycle that prompted your review has concluded, never mid-cycle.
Example: If you're selected after requesting a payout in your 3rd cycle, your move to live takes place once that payout has been processed. However, if you have multiple accounts that have reached the 3rd cycle, and you reach your 15th Performance Reward, all of your accounts will be closed automatically and become eligible for the Live Program.
2. Transition Process
Challenge Accounts
All active Challenge Accounts are permanently closed at the time of transition
These accounts are not eligible for any refunds
Note: Traders who prefer to preserve their Challenge Accounts should keep this in mind before stacking multiple Challenge Accounts
FundedNext Accounts
FundedNext Accounts with at least 1 successful withdrawal will be transitioned to a live account
FundedNext Accounts with 0 payouts will be closed, and the funded account’s cost will be refunded within 3-5 business days once the live transition is completed.
Note: Direct Accounts are treated as FundedNext Accounts and will therefore follow the structure mentioned above.
3. Live Account Parameters
Traders receive one live account per eligible funded account transitioning, up to a maximum of 5 live accounts.
Account Size | Starting Balance | Max Loss Limit (MLL) |
25K | $1,500 | Starts from $0 |
50K | $2,000 | Starts from $0 |
100K | $3,000 | Starts from $0 |
150K | $4,500 | Starts from $0 |
Withdrawal Benefits:
Daily withdrawal option
Minimum withdrawal request: $100
100% profit split on the first $5,000 in cumulative withdrawals, then 90/10 thereafter.
Note: Withdrawals cannot be processed during an active trading session. Traders must conclude the trading day and submit their request the following day. Withdrawals from the Live account take approximately 2–5 business days to process, as this is handled directly by NinjaTrader Brokerage. Because of this processing timeframe, the FundedNext Brand Promise will not be maintained for Live account withdrawals.
4. Contract Limits
Traders who lock their MLL demonstrate they have grown their account to match their initial deposit, a mark of consistent and responsible trading. As a reward for reaching this milestone, contract limits double once the MLL locks, giving traders greater capacity to scale their live trading.
Account Size | Contracts (Standard) | Contracts (After MLL Locks) |
25K | 2 Mini | 20 Micro | 4 Mini | 40 Micro |
50K | 3 Mini | 30 Micro | 6 Mini | 60 Micro |
100K | 4 Mini | 40 Micro | 8 Mini | 80 Micro |
150K | 5 Mini | 50 Micro | 10 Mini | 100 Micro |
5. Trailing MLL and the MLL Lock Benefit
Trailing MLL
The Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) on your live account is trailing. It moves up as your account grows and never moves down while it is trailing.
When the MLL locks
The MLL stops trailing and locks in either of these cases, whichever comes first:
You request a payout.
Your profit equals your starting balance.
Once locked, the MLL never moves again, no matter how high your balance goes.
The MLL Lock Benefit
Normally, a locked MLL would sit at your starting balance. With the MLL Lock Benefit, which applies automatically to every live account, the floor locks $1,000 below your starting balance instead.
On a 50K live account ($2,000 starting balance), the MLL would normally lock at $2,000. With the benefit, it locks at $1,000.
From the lock onward, $1,000 is the only breach level on your account. Dropping below your $2,000 starting balance does not end your account. Your account breaches only if your balance touches $1,000.
Why we built it this way: A locked MLL means you have either doubled your loss buffer or taken a live payout. Both are proof that you can hold profits on a live account. Rather than a one-time bonus, we are providing what compounds: more room to keep trading and more room to scale payouts.
Locked MLL floors per account size
Account Size | Starting Balance | Standard Lock | MLL Locks at (with Benefit) |
25K | $1,500 | $1,500 | $500 |
50K | $2,000 | $2,000 | $1,000 |
100K | $3,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 |
150K | $4,500 | $4,500 | $3,500 |
Every size follows the same rule: the lock is $1,000 below your starting balance.
Example: 50K account ($2,000 starting balance)
Event | Balance | MLL Floor | Status |
Account opens | $2,000 | $0 (trailing) | Active |
Balance grows | $3,000 | $1,000 (trailing) | Active |
Profit equals starting balance, or payout requested | $4,000 | $1,000 (locked, with Benefit) | Active |
Balance drops below starting balance | $1,800 | $1,000 | Active |
Balance touches the floor | $1,000 | $1,000 | Breached |
At the lock point, you hold $3,000 of trading room ($4,000 balance minus the $1,000 floor), locked in for the life of the account.
6. Breach and Cooldown
Traders who breach live account(s) enter a mandatory cooldown before any trading is permitted.
Standard cooldown: 2 weeks mandatory for all traders
Extended cooldown: 4 weeks or an extended period, at FundedNext's discretion, for traders who breach through reckless behaviour such as aggressive positions or breaching within a single trading session.
After completing the cooldown period, traders return to normal simulated trading, purchasing Challenge Accounts and following the standard path back to live.
