What Are the Trading Hours in FundedNext Futures?

TL;DR: FundedNext Futures does not allow overnight or weekend trade holding. You must close all positions by 3:10 PM Central Time (CT) each trading day — any positions left open are automatically closed at that time. Trading resumes daily at 5:00 PM CT, and after the weekend it resumes on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT. These hours apply to both your Challenge Account during the Challenge Phase and your FundedNext Account.

What are the permitted trading hours at FundedNext Futures?

You can trade each day from 5:00 PM CT, when the new session opens, up until 3:10 PM CT the following day, when all positions must be closed. After the weekend break, trading resumes on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT.

FundedNext Futures does not permit overnight or weekend trade holding, so every position must be closed within the daily trading window.

What happens if I don't close my trade?

Any positions still open at 3:10 PM CT will be automatically closed. This means you don't need to worry about unintentionally breaching your account by leaving a trade open past the daily close.

Note: Avoid repeatedly forcing a trade after the market has closed. In some cases the order may still go through, which can lead to a breach of your account.

Can I trade right at the 5:00 PM CT open, and will I get filled?

Yes — you can trade as soon as the session opens at 5:00 PM CT. However, please note that even during the Challenge Phase or on a funded FundedNext Account, we don't recommend trading when the market is illiquid, as this can cause issues with your position, such as slippage or partial fills.

Illiquid hours are open for trading, but entirely at the trader's own discretion. The same applies to holiday trading hours.

Trading during holiday hours

Holiday trading hours — including any early market closes and the handling of open positions — will be communicated to traders in advance.

  • Always check the permitted trading times ahead of holidays.

  • During holiday sessions, be sure to close your own positions before the market closes, as automatic closure may not apply at an early (half-day) close unless you are notified otherwise.

  • Failure to close positions before the market closes may result in a breach of your account.
