How to Place and Manage Limit Orders in Tradovate?

As a FundedNext Futures trader, perfecting limit orders is crucial to executing trades at your desired price. Here’s how you can place and manage limit orders effectively in Tradovate:

Windows/Mac:

Placing a Limit Order

  1. Open the Tradovate Desktop App and log in.

  2. Select your trading instrument from the market list.

  3. Open the DOM (Depth of Market) or Chart panel.

  4. Choose Limit Order as your order type.

  5. Set your desired price level (below the market for Buy Limit, above for Sell Limit).

  6. Click Place Order to confirm.

Modifying or Canceling a Limit Order

  1. Navigate to the Orders Tab.

  2. Select your open limit order.

  3. Click Modify to adjust price or quantity, or Cancel to remove the order.

Web Platform:

Placing a Limit Order

  1. Log in to Tradovate Web in your browser.

  2. Open the DOM or Chart panel.

  3. Choose Limit Order from the order type selection.

  4. Set the limit price and order quantity.

  5. Click Confirm Order to place it.

Modifying or Canceling a Limit Order

  1. Go to the Orders Tab.

  2. Locate the active limit order.

  3. Modify the price/quantity or cancel the order as needed.

Mobile App:

Placing Limit Order

  1. Open the Tradovate Mobile App and log in.

  2. Select your trading instrument from the watchlist.

  3. Tap Order Entry, then choose Limit Order.

  4. Set your limit price and order size.

  5. Tap Confirm to place the order.

Modifying or Canceling a Limit Order

  1. Navigate to Open Orders.

  2. Select the limit order you want to adjust.

  3. Modify the price or cancel the order as needed.

Now you can seamlessly use Limit Orders in Tradovate across Desktop, Web, and Mobile!
