TL;DR: To pass the Legacy Challenge, you must reach the profit target for your account size while following the 40% Consistency Rule (daily profit can't exceed 40% of your total profit target). There is no daily loss limit, but the Maximum Loss Limit always applies — 1,000(25K), 2,000(50K), 3,000(100K) — on a Trailing End-of-Day basis. You must follow all prohibited-strategy and micro-scalping rules, and there is no time limit to pass.
What is the FundedNext Futures Legacy Challenge?
The Legacy Challenge is a 1-Step Challenge built for traders who prefer structure, discipline, and higher reward potential. It evaluates your ability to earn consistent profits while managing risk in a simulated futures environment during the Challenge Phase. Once you pass, you progress to a Legacy FundedNext Account where you can withdraw Performance Rewards.
What are the available account sizes in the Legacy Challenge?
The Legacy Challenge is available in three account sizes. The Profit Target and Maximum Loss Limit for each are:
Account Size | Profit Target | Maximum Loss Limit |
$25,000 | $1,250 | $1,000 |
$50,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 |
$100,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 |
What is the pricing of the Legacy Challenge?

Is there a Consistency Rule in the Legacy Challenge?
Yes. The Consistency Rule applies throughout the Challenge Phase. Your profit on any single day cannot exceed 40% of your total profit target.
Formula: 40% × Profit Target = Daily Profit Threshold
If your profit on any single day exceeds this threshold, the total profit required to pass is recalculated:
Required Total Profit = Highest Daily Profit ÷ 40%
Example — $50,000 Legacy Challenge (Profit Target: $3,000)
Daily threshold: 40% × $3,000 = $1,200 — keep daily profit below this.
If you earn $1,500 in a day: $1,500 ÷ 0.40 = $3,750. You would now need $3,750 total to pass, instead of $3,000.
The Consistency Rule encourages steady, repeatable profitability rather than relying on a single high-profit day.
What are the contract limits in the Legacy Challenge?
Your contract limit is the maximum number of contracts you can hold at once. It's fixed at account creation and does not increase with profit.
Account Size | Maximum Contracts (Challenge) |
$25,000 | 2 e-mini / 20 micro e-mini |
$50,000 | 3 e-mini / 30 micro e-mini |
$100,000 | 5 e-mini / 50 micro e-mini |
You can mix e-mini and micro e-mini contracts using the Legacy 1:10 ratio (1 e-mini = 10 micro e-mini). If you exceed the limit, only the excess contracts count as violations: profit from them is deducted, while losses still count.
What is the Maximum Loss Limit in the Legacy Challenge?
The Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) is the total amount you can lose before your account is permanently breached. It follows a Trailing End-of-Day (EOD) system, updating once per day based on your highest balance that day.
Account Size | Maximum Loss Limit |
$25,000 | $1,000 |
$50,000 | $2,000 |
$100,000 | $3,000 |
Important notes:
The MLL adjusts at the end of each trading day, not in real time.
Once the MLL reaches your initial balance, it stops trailing and does not move further.
If your floating loss breaches the MLL during a live trade, your account is breached instantly.
Is there a daily loss limit in the Legacy Challenge?
No. The Legacy Challenge has no daily loss limit at any stage, giving you more flexibility in trade management. The Maximum Loss Limit remains your primary risk guardrail.
What trading rules must I follow in the Legacy Challenge?
You must follow all prohibited strategy rules throughout the Legacy Challenge to maintain disciplined and ethical trading. Breaking any of these can result in a breach.
What is the Micro-Scalping policy for the Legacy Challenge Account?
Micro-scalping is opening and closing trades within 10 seconds to capture small, rapid price movements. Scalping is valid, but a high concentration of these trades affects trading consistency, so FundedNext Futures monitors a Micro-Scalping threshold across all account types.
During the Challenge Phase:
The Micro-Scalping percentage is the share of your total recorded profit from trades closed within 10 seconds, evaluated per cycle.
Only profitable trades count — you can close losing trades any time without affecting this rule.
At 30%, you receive a compliance warning (no penalty).
At 40% or above, your ability to reach the profit target and advance is placed on hold; it resumes automatically once your percentage drops back below 40%.
Is there a time limit to pass the Legacy Challenge?
No. There is no time limit — take as long as you need to reach your profit target while following the rules.
What happens after I pass the Legacy Challenge?
Once you meet the profit target while satisfying the Consistency Rule and all trading rules, you move to a Legacy FundedNext Account, where you can withdraw Performance Rewards.
